The Gibsons Farmers Market says the response to being among the first in BC to have a craft brewery as a vendor has been very positive.
Market manager Celia Robben says they were able to get permits for Persephone within days of new rules coming into force allowing craft breweries, wineries or distilleries at farmers markets.
Market day is Friday and this is the third week for craft beer sales, and Robben says local beer is proving to be a good fit with the overall market philosophy.
Robben says permits are linked to the individual vendors, and they have to follow most of the same regulations as they do at their on-site tasting rooms.
