RCMP say the victim of a fatal accident on the Malahat Monday afternoon was from Langford.
The 65 year old was heading north on his motorcycle, when he was hit by an SUV turning onto the highway from Shawnigan Lake Road.
It happened around 4 in the afternoon, and forced the closure of the highway for about an hour and a half.
The 41 year old Victoria woman driving the SUV was not hurt.
