The District of Sechelt has finalized another piece of the funding puzzle for the multi-million dollar waste water treatment plant.
Documents released this week say Sechelt’s Chief of Innovation and Growth got the OK from Council last week to accept the Sechelt Indian Band s offer of a $1.68 million contribution towards the project.

Sechelt’s reserve lands bordering the District have been connected to the sewer system for several years… and negotiations continue on a new agreement on sewer rates for SIB properties.
The new 24 million dollar waste water treatment plant is due to be completed this fall.
