RCMP in Nanaimo on the lookout for purse snatcher

Nanaimo RCMP are looking for the suspect in a purse snatching..
It happened Saturday (June 21) in Bowen Park.
Police say just after 1:30 in the afternoon a 70 year-old woman was walking out of the park near the intersection of Bowen Road and Buttertubs with a friend when a man came up behind them.
He threatened to burn the woman’s face, grabbed her purse and ran off.
He was last seen heading into a parking lot at 999 Bowen.
He was carrying a red cylinder, that RCMP say might have been a fire extinguisher.
He’s white, in his early twenties with short brown hair. He had a muscular build and was wearing a t-shirt and shorts with one leg red and the other green.
There was a small amount of cash and some credit cards in the purse that were later cancelled.  Constable Gary O’Brien says RCMP have some advice for purse-carriers.
