Sunshine Coast RCMP still seeing too many impaired drivers

Sunshine Coast RCMP say a mini traffic crack-down over the weekend took 3 impaired drivers off the road.
Police say they were out in Gibsons during the early morning hours on Saturday responding to concerns about impaired and erratic driving… and over two hours they pulled over several vehicles and 3 drivers blew a “warn” for alcohol. One of them was an “N” driver.
All of them had their vehicles impounded and their licenses suspended for three days.
Sunshine Coast RCMP are also reporting a couple of other notable impaired driving incidents from the weekend.

On June 13 an “N” driver got a 12 hour suspension and a ticket after a multi-vehicle crash in a parking lot in the  800 block of Gibsons Way.

And, on June 14, RCMP had several calls about a possibly drunk man who drove away from a Sechelt bar after he was refused service. Police caught up with the suspect’s car and pulled it over.  They say the driver had an earlier a 90 day roadside prohibition, so they started a Criminal Code impaired driving investigation.
