A fire inside an old shed on the border of Nanaimo and Lantzville kept Nanaimo Fire Rescue Crews busy for several hours Tuesday afternoon.
The fire in the 0 block of Vipond Rd started in the shed and then spread to nearby trees.
The investigation into the cause is still in the early stages.
Nanaimo Fire Rescue also had to deal with a car that caught fire in a rural area in the 2200 block of Boxwood Rd. That incident happened just before 5am.
