Officials in Gibsons say it’s likely a boil water advisory will remain in place for much of the town at least through the weekend.
The advisory was issued June 6th for Zones 1 and 2, when routine tests turned up e-coli contamination.
Mayor Wayne Rowe says the latest tests are looking better, but they need to wait for more results. He also says it’s going to take time to finish flushing the system with chorinated water and get the Parkland Reservoir disinfected and back on line.
The Town now has a special web page for information on the water situation.
