Open house in Gibsons on Fortis line to serve Woodfibre

Fortis is hosting an open house in Gibsons on its plan to expand a natural gas pipeline from the Lower Mainland to Woodfibre on Howe Sound.
The pipeline would move gas to the former pulp mill site in order to feed a propsed LNG export facility.
Although there are links between the two projects – with Fortis as a supplier and Woodfibre LNG as the customer – Carol Greaves of Fortis says today’s open house will deal strictly with the pipeline.
It runs from 4 to 8pm Wednesday at the Gibsons and Area Community Centre and Greaves says people can drop by anytime
Woodfibre LNG has it’s own open houses planned this month, but they’re in Whistler, Squamish and Furry Creek.
