Sunshine Coast voters took full advantage of the advanced voting opportunities and the numbers show it.

In the four advanced voting opportunities, 19,289 voters showed up at the advanced polls, compared to 16,108 back in 2015.

Liberal incumbent Pamela Goldsmith-Jones isn’t seeking re-election and seven people are in the running to replace her.

Liberal Patrick Weiler, Conservative Gabrielle Loren, NDP representative Judith Wilson, Green Dana Taylor, Robert Douglas Bebb of the People’s Party of Canada, Independent Terry Grimwood and Gordon Jeffrey of the Parti Rhinoceros Party are all running.

Polls are open from 7 am to 7 pm on Monday.
