Sechelt will use visitor information kiosks to help tourists make the best of their experience while on the Sunshine Coast.
The first of three kiosks have been installed inside the Trail Bay Mall to provide additional visitor services for tourists in convenient locations.
Last year, Sechelt Council asked staff to look for ways to provide visitor information services.
The three kiosks will be in high traffic areas and the information service they provide will support the work of the Visitor Information Centre.
Sunshine Coast Tourism marketing director Annie Wise says the kiosks will provide them with additional data on what information people are looking for while they visit the area.
She says this can better serve their needs and support an exceptional travel experience.
The kiosks will serve tourists who may not go to the information center.
The remaining two kiosks will be installed in the coming weeks.
