Smile Cookie Campaign Exceeds Expectations

The Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign fundraiser to raise money for new equipment at the Heritage Playhouse was more successful than expected.

Ingeborg Hardman of the Gibsons Landing Heritage Society says the Smile Cookie campaign raised more than 14-thousand dollars to install more LED lights and stage equipment at the playhouse.

The original fundraising goal was 12-thousand dollars.

Hardman says Gibsons Tim Horton manager Klaus Fuerniss was thrilled to learn that his restaurant was the number one Smile Cookie fundraiser in British Columbia.

Hardman says the community’s support helps Heritage Playhouse continue to be a place to nurture generations of performing artists.
