Sunshine Coast Jewel May Become Provincial Park

A nine thousand hectare provincial park.

That’s what’s planned for the gorgeous Princess Louisa Inlet on the Sunshine Coast, following the BC Parks Foundation purchasing 800-hectares for three million dollars.

The CEO of the foundation, Andrew Day says this is one of the only crowdfunded protected parks in Canada.

The sale won’t be final until tomorrow.

The foundation plans to package the 800-hectare parcel with crown land, parks and land set aside to create a provincial park that would surround the inlet.
