The BC Coroners Service has released the identity of a woman who died in an early morning fire in Parksville.
Around 2:30am on Monday, neighbours noticed smoke coming from a trailer home and called 9-1-1.
The Parksville Fire Department responded and found a body after the fire was extinguished.
The victim was been identified as 90-year-old Parksville resident Johanna Irmgard Charlotte Szepat.
The BC Coroners Service, Oceanside RCMP and Parksville Fire Department are investigating but foul play has been ruled out.
