Sunshine Coast RCMP is looking for a missing man who did not return from a canoe trip on Waugh Lake in Egmont.
26-year-old Thomas Hines was last seen Monday and it wasn’t until his canoe was found on the lake the next day police were called.
Mounties say it is unknown at this time if Hines is in the lake or on land.
Sunshine Coast Search and Rescue conducted an extensive search of the lake and shoreline and will continue their search today (June 20th) with assistance from Squamish Search and Rescue and the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team.
Hines is a white man with short brown hair and brown eyes.
He was clean-shaven, about 5 foot 8 inches tall, with a stocky build and about 180 pounds.
He may have been wearing khaki cargo shorts and a button up black and brown shirt.
