Sunshine Coast RCMP looking for suspect in attack on Good Samaritans

Sunshine Coast RCMP are looking for a man responsible for attacking a couple of Good Samaritans who were trying to break-up what they thought was a domestic disturbance.

It happened back on May 24th in Gibsons.  Police say around 12:15 that morning they had a report of an assault at the corner of Winn Road and South Fletcher Road. Two men say they were attacked by another man as they tried to intervene as the man and a woman argued on the roadway. RCMP say after the alleged assault the couple left the area, possibly driving a smaller, grey, older model pick-up with a grey canopy. The man is described as in his early 20s, olive skinned with dark short hair, around 5’9′ tall and between 180 and 190 pounds with a muscular build. The woman is also in her early 20’s, white with long bleached blond hair, blue eyes, 5’5″ tall and medium build.

The Sunshine Coast RCMP are asking anyone with information to get in touch with Constable Ben Stewart at (604)885-2266 or BC Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-TIPS(8477).
