Nanaimo Ladysmith targeted as BCTF starts second week of rotating walkouts

Monday is another day off school for students in the Nanaimo Ladysmith district as the BC Teachers Federation stages a second round of rotating walkouts.
The walkouts, the government’s counter move of a partial lockout, and the lack of progess in negotiations were in the spotlight at the Confederation of BC Parent Advisory Councils AGM on the weekend.
The group says it’s getting increasingly frustrated.
Mike Ball, the president of the Nanaimo and District Teachers Association, says parents are right to be frustrated.
Sunshine Coast teachers will be staging their second walk-out June 3rd, and Qualicum teachers will be on strike Thursday, June 5th.
