The Nanaimo RCMP is investigating two incidents of women having their buttocks grabbed as they walked along Bowen Road.
The two incidents took place within ten minutes of each other around 11:30 Monday, May 27th.
Neither woman was injured and both were able to provide a description of the suspect.
The descriptions are similar enough to lead investigators to believe both incidents were carried out by the same individual.
The man is described as possibly Indigenous or of Spanish descent, with short hair and brown eyes.
He is about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a slim build.
He was wearing brown pants, a light coloured shirt and was carrying a black packsack with a diamond on it.
