Preparations for Canada Day parade in Sechelt begin

The Sechelt Downtown Business Association is urging people who want to participate in the Canada Day parade to register now.

Executive Director Theressa Logan is asking businesses, non-profits and vendors to log on to Sechelt dot com and register before June 14th.

“We can get up to 35 or 40 floats and we get 3,000, plus, people in the downtown that get excited for the parade. It’s usually a beautiful day so it’s really fun and it’s a great way for businesses to get exposure for their businesses, same with not for profit. It lets people know who they are. It gives them some exposure for really cheap and it’s really fun.”

Registering early will allow the Association to get on with the planning for the event.

Early registration for businesses is 50 dollars, for non-profits it’s 30 dollars and for vendors who want to set up a stall in Hackett Park, it’s 45 dollars.
