It is Active Transportation Month on the Sunshine Coast and next week is Bike to Work Week.
Mayor of Gibsons Bill Beamish said he and the Mayor for the District of Sechelt are participating.
“We actually have been riding our bikes to work all month. I actually have a significant uphill I have to face every day on my way home and she has the highway which is two very different challenges.”
In the meantime, Voice Lab has released an online survey to build a business case for a new transportation service.
Access to transportation in the evening was identified as a major gap by young people on the Sunshine Coast so the information from the survey will be used to better understand the issue.
The survey is available at http://bit.ly/voicetransportation and is open to all residents of the Sunshine Coast and will close June 5.
