Police are investigating after a severely intoxicated man was arrested at the Garden Bay Pub.
Police were called to the pub around 11 Saturday evening.
The incident began when an off-duty employee was told he was cut off.
The news didn’t sit well with the man who hit an employee of the pub over the head with a beer glass before he allegedly went on a no-holds-barred rampage inside the pub.
Police say the man threw tables and chairs out windows, at bystanders, and into the water, smashed out televisions while swinging an ax.
When police arrived at the scene they found the man being restrained by employees.
He was arrested for assault with a weapon and mischief over 5,000 dollars.
Damages to the pub are estimated to be more than 50,000 dollars.
