Researchers are pleased with the progress J-17 has made in recent months, as the resident killer whale is on the path to recovery.
The Centre for Whale Research is reporting that J-17 is showing little sign of “peanut head,” a condition synonymous with malnutrition.
Earlier in the week, researchers saw the mammal in the Admiralty Inlet.
