Non-Profit Expo aims to connect organizations with volunteers

The Resource Centre is hosting the first ever Volunteer Fair and Non-Profit Expo Saturday, April 13th.

It goes from 10 to 2 at the Sechelt Indian Band Hall.

It’s part of the Volunteer Sunshine Coast program and spokesperson Christabelle Kux-Kardos said it aims to match volunteers with non-profits.

“To try to bring the non-profits who are looking for volunteers and want to share their mission and vision with the community all in one place. The volunteers might be wanting to share their skills and expertise, or just get connected within their community, and can have, hopefully, a one-stop shop where they can do that.”

Kux-Kardos said it’s also a good opportunity for non-profits to network amongst themselves and the entire event really depends upon their participation.

Organizations wanting to have a booth and recruit volunteers can book a table for 25 dollars.

Kux-Kardos says the whole event really depends upon the participation of non-profits.
