Nanaimo Search and Rescue members will be in the general vicinity of Mount Benson Regional Park all day tomorrow (April 6th) and into the morning of April 7th.
PEP Air fixed-wing aircraft, Search and Rescue trucks, and equipment, as well as over 30 members, will be on the mountain conducting training exercises.
It’s part of the Justice Institute of British Columbia Gound Search and Rescue course for new members-in-training.
In addition to the activity, some small fires may be seen in the overnight hours.
