Road conditions haven’t been pretty and some people are having a tough time getting home on the Sunshine Coast.
Parts of Highway 101 was shut down near the Rat Portage Hill area earlier this evening due to icy and slippery conditions.
RainCity Housing is offering up their facilities to the public who are stranded tonight.
The shelter in Sechelt doesn’t have available beds but they do have couches, washrooms, hot drinks and free wifi. That shelter is located at 5653 Wharf Ave.
The Gibsons shelter is also open and is located at 599 Gower Point Road.
