The snow is causing some problems in our listening area.
Both school districts on the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island decided to shut down their schools today.
Capilano University decided to shut down their campus in Sechelt and all classes are cancelled.
The same applies to Vancouver Island University, except for the campus in Powell River.
The SCRD is also shutting off a water main Garden Bay area until later this evening. (5pm)

The roads that will be affected by the water main shut down include Claydon Road, Garden Bay Road from the Claydon Road intersection to Panorama Drive.
And Panorama Place, Claydon Lane, Daniel Road and Porters Road.
