Wanted: Student Rangers

The province is looking for young adults on the Sunshine Coast who want to be part of the BC Parks Student Ranger Program.

The Student Ranger Program offers hands-on work experience related to conservation, recreation, community outreach, and Indigenous relations.

For the 2019 season, 12 crews of four student rangers will work in regions throughout the province, including Sechelt at the Porpoise Bay Provincial Park.
The work starts in May and wraps up in August.
Applicants have to be between the ages of 18 and 30 and must be enrolled in full-time studies and planning to return to those studies in the fall.
The program is funded by the Federal and provincial governments.
Applications will be accepted until February 24th.
