RCMP in BC have cancelled an Amber Alert. It was issued on Wednesday after two girls were taken by their mother from an elementary school in Vulcan, Alberta.
Police say 48-year-old Trina Meisel is facing 2 counts of Abduction. The girls, ages six and 12, have been taken into police care. With help from the public, they were found Wednesday afternoon in Boston Bar and the mother was arrested without incident.
Police had said they may have been heading to Vancouver Island.
