A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery of a Nanaimo CIBC bank.
Mounties say a lone man entered the bank, in the Port Place Mall, around 2:30 Saturday afternoon and handed the teller a note indicating he had a gun.
No one saw a gun and the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash in the same taxi cab he arrived in.
It took police just two hours to track the suspect to a home on Wesley Street where he was arrested without incident and the majority of the stolen money was recovered.
