Students at Madeira Park Elementary on the Sunshine Coast are into day one of what’s going to be a pretty unusual week at school.
Principle Barry Krangle says they’re working with local artists and performers for the school’s first “Fine Arts Week.” It’s going to involve time in and out of the classroom as students will learn about things like music, painting and acting.
And Krangle says they’re going to wrap things up Friday with a little something different.
Krangle says as well as a bit of a break from the usual routine, the Fine Arts Week is a good learning tool especially for kids who like to be more active.
