Mount Washington is hoping to open “as soon as possible”.
Resort spokesperson Sheila Rivers said the December 7th opening date has been pushed back.
“Basically, we need around 3 feet to get open and that’s based around the quantity and quality of the snow. So we are really looking to have that nice base building snow to get open. Really, we are quite well known for our overnight storms, so it could happen in as little as two overnight snowstorms.”
Rivers is optimistic and said they’re seeing some strong weather systems coming this weekend in their short-term forecast.
