The 81-year-old man reported missing from Nanaimo has been located safe and sound.

The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 81-year-old man.
Rolf Erhard Oehme has not been seen or heard from since leaving his central Nanaimo home 9 days ago.
The missing man recently missed several planned home visits from the Nanaimo Seniors Outreach Team and he was recently released from an extended hospital stay.
Investigators have learned that just prior to Oehme’s disappearance he attempted to purchase a plane ticket to a European country but was prevented from doing so due to his various medical conditions.
Investigators figure the missing man may have been able to use public transportation and left Vancouver Island.
Oehme does not drive and has no immediate family living on Vancouver Island.
He is also known to wear the same clothes for extended periods of time.
Oehme is a white man who speaks with a strong German accent.
He stands 5 ft. 11, weighs 150 pounds and has white hair, and wears glasses.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket, track pants with white stripes on the sides and white runners.
He may also be pulling behind him or carrying a small black travel bag.
