The Sunshine Coast RCMP is asking drivers to be cautious especially if you’re driving early in the morning.

Constable Karen Whitby says there was an incident on Highway 101 this morning (Monday) at around 5:50 where a pickup truck lost control due to the road conditions.

“So the truck was headed north on the highway,” said Whitby.

“They lost control on some black ice going around a gentle curve and unfortunately rolled the vehicle. The truck had one occupant, a female in her 30’s and she was taken to the hospital to get her neck and her back evaluated.”

Whitby says drivers should be aware of black ice and also should slow down around the corners.
