Province invests $10.4 million in Sechelt’s senior housing project

With a $10.4 million investment from the province, the Sunshine Coast Lions Housing Society is feeling assured.

Robert Allen, President of the society said they’ve had plans to build a 104 unit building that’s meant to be affordable for seniors and this funding will help with that project.

“This is going to help us tremendously. We have a waitlist of over 200 people who are looking to get into Greenecourt right now. So the sooner we can finish this project the sooner we can help those people out.”

Allens hopes the shovels will be the in the ground for the new building by the end of January of 2019.
