The Conservation Officer Service is wondering what happened after they got reports of three dead bears.
The bodies of the animals were found in a forested area in Roberts Creek.
Dean Miller says two of the bears were cubs, and they were pushed over a bank just off of a forest service road.
“Our initial suspicion is that these were conflict animals that presented as a nuisance or even a safety concern for somebody who eventually took matters into their own hands.”
Miller says the discovery is now an investigation under the wildlife act.
