The Island Economic Coastal Trust is contributing more than $80,000 to build a community benefit hub.
Line Robert, CEO of ICE-T says communities on the Sunshine Coast and the Island acknowledge that public sector purchasing is an important part of the economy.
She says once the hub is built they’ll help local communities leverage those public-sector purchases to meet their community goals.
Robert says this hub should be up and running in a couple of years and it will help strengthen community resiliency and that’s quite important for smaller communities.
