Emerging economy task force assigned in BC
The Province is putting together a new Emerging Economy Task Force.
It’s a 14-member task force and their objective is to get a better understanding of how global conditions and emerging technological advancements will shape our economy.
Kathy Kinloch, Chair of this task force and President of BCIT says her and her colleagues are ready to go.
Kinloch says they want to make sure their recommendations align with regional needs so they’ll be conducting an online survey to gather information from different businesses throughout BC.
The task force will present an interim report to the provincial government this fall and their priority is to define what an emerging economy now and in years to come.
