A two-boat ferry system is coming to the Sunshine Coast, but it could take awhile.
If the system is implemented, that will lead to hourly sailings between Langdale and Horseshoe Bay.
Diana Mumford with the local ferry advisory committee says it could be five years before BC Ferries gets a two-ferry system going on Route three and there are some factors to consider.
Mumford says it will cost BC Ferries a substantial amount of money to buy a new ferry but she believes it is necessary.
She says it is very frustrating as we often have two to four hours waits any time we want to use the ferry system.
