By closing the Comox Coast Guard Base, keeping Harper’s lax oil spill response rules, and failing to prove how they would handle a bitumen oil spill, Liberal BC MPs and Justin Trudeau have undermined coastal communities.
That’s according to Sheila Malcolmson, MP for Nanaimo-Ladysmith who will be holding an emergency town hall via Facebook on the topic tonight (Thurs).
Malcolmson says her office has received dozens of phone calls, emails and social media comments from constituents who are dismayed the Trudeau Liberal government will spend 4 and a half billion dollars of taxpayers money purchasing the Canadian assets of Kinder Morgan that relate to the proposed pipeline expansion.
