One man is dead after his vehicle collided with a hydro pole in the 1000 block of Gibsons Way.
The incident happened just after ten this (Wed) morning.
Multiple emergency agencies responded to the incident which closed the road temporarily and caused a power outage for several blocks.
Mounties say the driver of the car, and sole occupant was pronounced dead at the scene.
A local veterinarian attended to assist emergency crews with a dog who had been inside the vehicle and was injured due to the collision.

RCMP say it is possible the man had suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash as a witness reported seeing him slumped over the steering wheel just prior to colliding with the hydro pole.
The incident is under investigation.
