The City of Nanaimo has a full slate of road construction projects on tap this summer.
The Northfield/Boundary/Highway 19A Intersection Upgrade project is expected to continue until the end of June with traffic patterns changing throughout the work period.
Work has begun on the final stage of the Terminal Avenue upgrade from St. George Street to Stewart Avenue should be done by early next month.
A watermain is being replaced on Terminal Avenue between Comox Avenue and Commercial Street and that work won’t be done until July.
Work to upgrade utilities in the Departure Bay Neighbourhood is well underway and it won’t be done until the fall.
There are also some watermain upgrades taking place on College Drive and that won’t be done until the fall either.
