Another black mark for the City of Nanaimo.
That’s after a leaked “In Camera” confidential document titled, “KPMG Final Report” was posted on social media.
The Freedom of Information Head for the City of Nanaimo, Sheila Gurrie says the report contains confidential third party information, as well as personal information of individuals.
She says the breach of information has been reported to all appropriate authorities, and steps are being taken to recover the sensitive information.
She says council will now need to determine whether to seek any other remedies for the breach from the individual or individuals responsible for leaking the confidential report.

There’s no word on who that individual was.
