BC Parks organizes second open house for Tetrahedron Park

BC Parks is hosting another open house to gather public input about options for re-designation of Tetrahedron Park.

The previous meeting that was held at the Sechelt Seaside centre reached capacity and many people were turned away at the door.

The options the province is considering include redesignating the entire park to a Protected Area.

To redesignate a portion of Tetrahedron Park to a Protected Area, and maintain a Class A park status on the rest of the park.

Or to redesignate the entire park as a Conservancy.

The SCRD (Sunshine Coast Regional District) is hoping to see a redesignation of the park so they can move forward with their Chapman Lake Supply expansion project that’s been on hold for a few years.

The open house is scheduled for next Thursday, May 24th, at the Roberts Creek Community Hall and it begins at 7.
