A new Italian restaurant is opening up in Lower Gibsons and it’s gained a lot of buzz in the community.
Osteria Buono will be located at the same place where The Waterfront Restaurant operated out of for nearly 20 years. (442 Marine Dr)
The restaurant is owned by a well known Sunshine Coast resident and chef in Michael Buono. He says he’s been in the food industry for a long time and felt he needed to branch out.
Buono, who is the son of Wally Buono of the BC Lions adds they want to create a unique experience for the entire community and visitors to enjoy.
Buono anticipates the restaurant will officially be open by the May long weekend.
