The Town of Gibsons wants to make it easier for residents to stay up to date with garbage and organic waste collections.
Town Communications person Elizabeth Quayle says they have a new app available and it should make it easier for locals to find out such information like where or how to dispose of certain waste and they can also sign up for service alerts.
Through the app, you can also find out what collection zone you live in and also sign up for collection day reminders.
Quayle says the app is user-friendly and should also help reduce the contamination in the organic waste bins.
