It’s that time of the year where bears are out roaming the community as they’re finished with hibernation.
Local conservation officer Dean Miller says it’s good to be on guard around this time of the year and to do a check of your property for possible bear attractants.
Miller says it’s a good idea to put your garbage out on the morning of the garbage pick-up day instead of the night before and he says birdfeeders can also attract bears.
