The province has given Burnco the okay for their aggregate mine proposal on the Sunshine Coast, but they still have to get approval from the feds.
MP the West Vancouver-Sea to Sky Country-Sunshine Coast Pam Goldsmith-Jones says the green light from the BC government reflects quite strongly on the Squamish Nation’s support for the project as well.
And that makes a powerful statement in her opinion.
If the project goes forward, it could produce up to 1.6 million tonnes of aggregate per year.
