The federal government wants to move forward with Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion project despite some vocal opposition.
The MP for West Vancouver-Sea to Sky Country-Sunshine Coast was answering questions about the project at a packed meeting at the Pender Harbour Legion this week.
Pam Goldsmith-Jones says she knows there are potential environmental impacts that could come with this project but the government is prepared to prevent the worst case scenario from happening.
Goldsmith-Jones says the economic benefits the project would bring to not just BC but the entire country would be substantial.
