A 38-year-old man has died following a single vehicle accident in the 2000 block of Boxwood Road in Nanaimo.
It happened around 9:30 Thursday evening.
The man, who was a passenger in a car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 27 year old man, who had been driving, was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
After talking to witnesses, investigators believe, speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash, however, the investigation is ongoing.
