Shíshálh Nation and Capstone Infrastructure are looking to secure the Sechelt Creek Hydro facility for the long term.
Capstone CEO Dave Eva says their partnership with Sechelt Nation has been great and they want to enter into a 40-year electricity purchase agreement with BC Hydro for the 16-megawatt run-of-river hydro facility.
Eva says the application needs to be accepted by the BC Utilities Commission and he suspects that will take about six months.
