Two areas of the Sunshine Coast will be benefitting from the federal Abandoned Boats Program.
MP for West Vancouver-Sea to sky country-Sunshine Coast Pam Goldsmith-Jones says a total of $80 000 will be given to local governments and organizations to help identify and assess abandoned boats in the community.
$10 000 will go towards identifying and the assessment of two boats in Pender Harbour and $70 000 will go towards the assessment of 14 abandoned boats in Porpoise Bay.
